Meet Michael

Michael was born in 2003 with his twin brother. His twin has no medical problems. Cloacal Exstrophy is his diagnosis but not too many people know what that is as it is a rare, complicated, severe birth defect which occurs in only 1 out of every 250,000 births. Spina Bifida, tethered spinal cord, omphalocele, calcaneous deformities and failure to thrive are just some of the co-conditions that Michael has also been diagnosed with. He has been through approximately 30 surgeries in his short 14 years of life.' ~ Dawn Guiney (Michael's mother)
